Comic Book Preview - ORCS! #2

BOOM! Studios gives us a preview of upcoming all-ages comic book ORCS! #2...



BOOM! Studios have revealed a first look at ORCS! #2, the next issue in the all-new original six-issue comic book series, by cartoonist Christine Larsen (Adventure Time, By Night), about a band of misfit Orcs who set off into the great, wide Known World in search of glory and gold, but find that the real treasures were the friends they made along the way.

After getting into trouble with the fearsome squirrels of the Eerieasallhel forest, Bog, Zep, Pez, Utzu, and Gurh are in for a fight for their lives against the tiny (but territorial!) beasties. Then it’s back home to get even with King Hrogragah for sending them on a fool’s errand! Plus, there’s something weird about their haul, it might be something more exciting than just acorns... it’s just too bad it might get them kicked out!

ORCS! #2 featuring main cover art by series artist Christine Larsen, as well as variant cover art by Sweeney Boo (Eat, And Love Yourself) and Mirka Andolfo (Mercy), will be available for sale on March 17, 2021.

Rogue Trooper - Blighty Valley TPB Announced

Comic Book Review - The Best of 2000 AD Vol. 3

Rob reviews The Best of 2000 AD Vol.3… The ‘Ultimate Mix-Tape’ of 2000 AD’s greatest hits is back for its third volume. Packed with an array of specially curated strips,  The Best of 2000 AD series does its very best in introducing you to the world of Tharg, and his Thrillverse. Much like its predecessors, this volume offers up an enticing mixture of strips and feature that draw across all corners of the wider 2000 AD mythos. While we do get a couple of standard trips to Mega-City 1 with Judge Dredd, series Editor Owen Johnson shows us the anthologies more “Tales of the Unexplained” side as things get a little bizarre.  Personally, this third volume has been my favourite out of the series so far. Not only does it feature a Judge Dredd written by Michael Carroll, we also have the debut of Ian Edginton  and D’Israeli.
