Warhammer 40K: Lion El’Johnson Rules Revealed

The Lion returns to the 41st millennium… With the long rumoured return of the Dark Angels Primarch finally revealed during last weeks AdeptiCon, Games Workshop have today given us a glimpse into El’Johnson’s fighting prowess.  Dispute having missed the last 10,000 years, the Lion hasn’t gained a single but of rust. So as the might of the Imperium gears up towards the Tyranid threat, the Dark Angels get the return of their monolithic leader.  Much like his Ultramarine brother, Robute Guilliman, Lion El’Johnson has some pretty impressive stats. What sets him apart from Guilliman is both his attack rating (10), and his prowess with the Fealty sword. Utilising both of the swords skills with a pretty powerful armour penetration of -3, and -5 means in the right hands Lion is going to be one impressive model.  Of course any skilled warrior of the 41st millennium needs a bit of defence to back them up, and following the tradition of Guilliman, El’Johnson has a piece of their fathers wargear to

Comic Book Review - The Ambassadors #1

Rob Reviews The Ambassadors #1… With both The Magic Circle 4, and Nemesis Reloaded already on comic book shelves, comic book maestro Mark Millar is back with yet another series. This time Millar heads back into superhero territory as he drags us on a tour de force across an opening issue that starts strong, and doesn’t let go of its tempo. So, strap yourself in as I take a somewhat spoiler free look at The Ambassadors.  Much like Millar’s previous works, The Ambassadors takes it’s superhero setting into a totally unexpected direction. Straight from its opening page, you’re never quite sure of were you’ll end up. Yet come it’s conclusion, the fragile status quo of this new universe has been forever changed.  In setting up this new universe, we’re given quite a bit of exposition as to how the world is in its current state. During the Cold War, the United States and Soviet Union attempted to create their own super powered being. While Uncle Sam managed to win this “war” by faking their s

Video Game Review - The Guise

Rob reviews The Guise on Nintendo Switch… The Guise is one of those games that’s art style will instantly grab you. A curious mix between a  Tim Burton movie, and Studio Gibli, The Guise is as beautiful as it is haunting. It’s a dark fairy tale who’s focus is on wrathful gods, dark atmosphere, and monsters.  If any of this is your jam, then come with me as I journey into a strange - yet sparse world. Across the narrative, you take on the role Ogden, an orphaned child living in a strange world. One stormy night, your sister leaves her bedroom door open, and due to it normally being off limits, Ogden and his fellow orphans get curious. Upon entry, the children find the room not like their own. Filled with sigils, and other dark delights, Ogden is drawn to a single white mask sitting on a shelf. Upon wearing the mask, Ogden is then cursed and transformed into a hideous monster. Realising the horror that he is in, he then rushes out of the orphanage and into the dark and stormy night.  Wha
