Board Game Review - Five Nights at Freddy’s: Survive Until 6AM Security Breach Edition

Welcome back to the Pizzaplex… For those who know me away from Geek Culture Reviews, October is usually an expensive month as it’s my daughter Grace’s birthday. While  she gets the normal haul of gifts from me & her Mum, and her Grandparents, my brothers - and family friends - often opt to give her cash instead. Now 14 she’s heading into the territory of more complex board games and as such with her birthday cash she came home today with a copy of Five Nights At Freddy’s: Survive Until 6AM Security Breach Edition that she picked up in our local HMV.  Of course it wasn’t long before we sat down to play it, and after recently finishing the video game of FNAF: Security Breach - we were both eager to venture back to the Freddy Fazbear Pizzaplex. But did we survive?  Created by Funko, FNAF: Survive Until 6AM Security Breach Edition is a simple card game that’s a spin-off to the original ‘Survive Until 6AM’ title. Themed around Security Breach, up to two players need to survive until 6AM

Comic Book Review - Superior Spider-Man Returns #1

Spider-Man, but not as we know him… There once was a time where a world without Peter Parker didn’t seem like it would happen. Sure the web-slinger has had his fair share of close calls, but Marvel have never really pulled the trigger. However this all changed a few years back with the introduction of the Superior Spider-Man. I won’t go into full details as I’m sure you all know the back story. But the basics are that a dying Otto Octavius had swapped bodies with Peter Parker. While Otto inherited Peters spider powers, and Spider-Man persona - we saw the long time villain turn a corner and start to do some good. Yet, the other side of this coin was we all lived to see the demise of Peter Parker - a hero as synonymous with the word ‘superhero’ as Batman, and Superman.  While Peter’s death would be short lived and Otto would find himself back on the other side of the law, Christos Gage (based on a story by Dan Slott) has returned to ‘Superior’ territory.  Superior Spider-Man Returns #1 s

Video Game Review - Alterium Shift

Rob reviews Alterium Shift on PC… Over the years the humble JRPG has found its home over on PC. While console players have their own market for the genre, it’s more prevalent on PC marketplaces such as Steam and the Epic Store. As such most fans of the genre have taken part in enough epic adventures that there’s probably not many more they can go on before the same old tropes come to the surface. Alterium Shift is the new kid on the block and is starting its life out within Steam’s Early Access. That being said, it’s definitely one that you need to consider as it’s interesting story, and vast landscape keeps its pixilated head above the JRPG waves.  Alterium Shift starts its narrative under those typical JRPG conditions. Recovering from a traumatic war with the local Dark Elves, the people of Alteria find themselves in a time of relative peace. However, this fragile peace is soon threatened by the existence of a set of magical amulets that allow for travel between dimensions. Soon foll
