Comic Book Review - Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #108

Rob reviews Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #108… Things slow down this week as we finally learn the origins behind Mistress Vile’s mysterious partner. As Vessel’s origin is revealed what ramifications will it bring to the wider MMPR mythos?  Kicking things off back in the not-so distant past, Mistress Vile and Alpha-1 are hunting for something on the planet Bizark. This soon turns out to be the resting place for Zordon’s body which was placed on Bizark after Rita stripped his consciousness and trapped the Eltarian within the time vortex. Needing a “vessel” for the Dark Spectre, Mistress Vile sees the body of her arch nemesis as the perfect host.  Flash forward and we then find ourselves in the present day as the battle for Earth continues. Across the next few panels we get some gorgeous work from the returning Marco Renna  that illustrates Vessel heading towards his target, while chaos rains all around. Comic Book Review - Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #103

Rob reviews Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #103... We're just three issues into the new "Recharged Era" and Melissa Flores has not only firmly taken the Power Ranger reigns - she's steering the ship in an entirely new direction... ...and I'm all for it!  In much the same way as the previous two issues, #103 has a lot to unpack. Not only do we get more relationship-building from Zordon and Lord Zedd, Kimberly and Tommy come to blows, Jason teams up with Bulk and Skull, and an even more sinister threat emerges from the shadows.  Kicking things off is another flashback into Zordon's past. This time however we're still firmly in the present as the Eltarian utilizes his connection to the Morphing Grid to meld with a comatose Lord Zedd. It's using this connection that Zordon continues to appeal to Zophram, whilst simultaneously finding out just how Mistress Vile was able to retake the moon. Rob reviews Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #101... A new era for the Power Rangers starts here as Melissa Flores takes over the controls from long-standing Power Rangers scribe, Ryan Parrott . And after reading issue #101, with Flores,  the Rangers are in great hands.  Kicking off the ' Recharged Era ' Flores takes us on a trip back into Zordon's past - 10,000 years to be exact. Rita Repulsa has been captured and Zordon attempts one last time to appeal to the goodness that dwells inside. Ever the villain, Rita uses this moment to strike Zordon with the curse that will see him confined to the containment chamber. Shocked awake in the present and it's this encounter that remains etched onto Zordon's mind. As such he tasks Alpha to continuously scan the Moon as he fears Rita's words of never-ending conflict could be correct.  Meanwhile, not content with trusting the Pocket Dimension (see Mighty Morphin #22), the Rangers are utilising their all...
