A new Star Wars comic series set within the High Republic era is coming soon from Marvel Comics! 


Star Wars: The High Republic - Trail of Shadows

Announced over on StarWars.com yesterday Star Wars: The High Republic - Trail of Shadows, is the latest addition to Marvel's High Republic Star Wars banner. Written by New York Times Bestselling author Daniel José Older with art by David Wachter, Star Wars: The High Republic - Trail of Shadowswill mark Marvel’s second venture into The High Republic, following the hit ongoing series, Star Wars: The High Republic.

The noir-style mystery will unfold after the shocking events of the Republic Fair and introduce new players such as Sian Holt and Jedi Emerick Caphtor, two detectives tasked with uncovering the source of a strange new threat that could bring darkness to the Jedi Order’s golden age. The story will directly tie into the events of other High Republic sagas, including the upcoming new Cavan Scott novel The Rising Storm.

“There are so many weird and terrifying threads to unravel here, and David Wachter’s excellent art fits the mood, urgency, and depth of this story perfectly,” Older told StarWars.com. “I am beyond excited to be working on this thrilling, creepy, delightful story.”

Whilst no set date has been confirmed, Star Wars: The High Republic - Trail of Shadows is set to launch sometime in October 2021.

Comic Book Review - The Best of 2000 AD Vol. 3

Rob reviews The Best of 2000 AD Vol.3… The ‘Ultimate Mix-Tape’ of 2000 AD’s greatest hits is back for its third volume. Packed with an array of specially curated strips,  The Best of 2000 AD series does its very best in introducing you to the world of Tharg, and his Thrillverse. Much like its predecessors, this volume offers up an enticing mixture of strips and feature that draw across all corners of the wider 2000 AD mythos. While we do get a couple of standard trips to Mega-City 1 with Judge Dredd, series Editor Owen Johnson shows us the anthologies more “Tales of the Unexplained” side as things get a little bizarre.  Personally, this third volume has been my favourite out of the series so far. Not only does it feature a Judge Dredd written by Michael Carroll, we also have the debut of Ian Edginton  and D’Israeli.
