DC set to expand the White Knight universe

Enter Batman: What Knight Presents: Generation Joker and World’s Finest: White Knight..

The release this week of Batman: Beyond the White Knight #8 marks the finale to the current arc of Sean Murphy's "What-If". Not content with letting this particular iteration of Gotham City rest, DC have cooked up two new titles: Batman: What Knight Presents: Generation Joker and World’s Finest: White Knight.

First up is Generation Joker, written by Katana Collins and Clay McCormack (from a story originally by Sean Murphy), with art by Mirka Andolfo. Generation Joker picks up straight  after Beyond the White Knight and sees the kids of Jack Napier and Harley Quinn set out on a road trip with a mission to bring their father back to life.

'When the rebellious twins run away in a stolen Batmobile, only Joker Jack Napier’s quickly fading hologram has any hope of getting them home safely and keeping them out of the family business. But a life of crime isn’t the only temptation young Bryce and Jackie are facing: the kids uncover a dark secret that could bring their dad back to life for good! With a wild array of Batman’s former enemies and allies on their tails, will the kids succeed in reviving the Dark Knight’s greatest foe? Find out as Jackie and Bryce take center stage in the White Knight Universe!'

Meanwhile, Sean Murphy isn't shying away from his creation as he's currently putting a White Knight spin on both Superman and Wonder Woman - titled Worlds Finest: White Knight. While DC are yet to disclose any information about plot and its creative team (aside from Murphy), expect more details in the coming months.

But for now, here's some images of Generation Joker to keep you invested.

Batman: What Knight Presents: Generation Joker #1 is set to hit comic book shelves on May 9th 2023.
