Carrera have announced the launch of their Carrera Hybrid range here in the UK! Slot car racing enters a whole new digital era combining the classic excitement of the iconic slot car with the immersive experience of video gaming. With AI-enhanced hybrid technology, Carrera Hybrid offers a realistic driving experience as cars move freely on and off the track, progressing through Career mode, fine tuning vehicles and more all controlled intuitively via smartphone app or controller for up to 30 players simultaneously on one track, or 16 players in multiplayer mode.

To mark the launch of the new product line, Carrera are excited to introduce ‘Devil Drivers’ - the latest set up for release, featuring two originally licensed Porsche 911 GT3 models on a scale of 1:50 with detailed front and rear lights, as well as 15 track elements and everything racing fans need to get started.

With four high-speed straights and ten nerve-racking curves, up to twelve different courses with a track length of approximately six metres can be created. The variable track configurations ensure that every race is just as unique as the last, with gaming mechanics that track your progress and push your skills. With the separately available cars, track packs and accessories, there are even more possibilities to take Carrera Hybrid racing to the next level.


PERSONALISED DRIVING EXPERIENCE

With Carrera Hybrid, players can customise their driving style using smartphones, tablets, or game controllers. The free app (iOS and Android) is inspired by the cockpit of a real life race car and supports a range of controllers via Bluetooth or cable, plus traditional tilt and on-screen joystick modes, for precise, immersive control.


CAREER MODE EXCITEMENT

Career Mode offers racers a range of virtual features​allowing players to progress by unlocking new features and fine-tuning their favourite cars. Each victory earns points that can be used for enhanced acceleration, optimized braking, or higher top speed, while tracking simulated tyre wear, tyre temperature and more.


CREATIVITY AT THE HEART OF THE RACE

Carrera Hybrid also adds a creative dimension with its Track Editor. Imagine and design your own layouts, pushing the boundaries of traditional racing to create new, original and exciting courses with endless challenges.


REALISM AND ADRENALINE

Sharper handling, reworked engine sounds, fairer race conditions and more heighten the intensity of every session as Carrera hone in on true racing realism. Small mistakes no longer eliminate a player outright but are penalised with time penalties, ensuring fairer and more motivating competition.
