The visual novel takes a stark look at a near future dominated by dark forces. These forces happen to hold high positions in power within this future distopia. We take on the roll of Mordred Foley - a troubled Private Investigator with a shady past. Foley is taksed with investigating a series of murders that's being performed by an unknown serial killer. Weighed down by his own troubles Foley enters a world full of danger as the higher echelons of society hunger for more power over the sinking society below. 

Dry Drowning features: 

  • Choices that really matter: More than 150 story branches and three completely different endings.
  • Moral choices that impact character relationships and the game environment across a potential 20 hours of gameplay.
  • Elaborate clue system for investigations: Learn about the city of Nova Polemos and its citizens through dialogue, evidence, items, and character biographies.
  • Horror style interrogations: Use evidence to reconstruct cases, break people’s masks of deception, and uncover the truth with Dry Drowning’s “Living Nightmare” system.
  • Explore flashbacks and past cases to solve new ones.
  • Dynamic soundtrack with more than 40 dramatic and emotional tracks.
  • A balanced mix of Western and Eastern visual arts, casting light on a grim futuristic setting where cyberpunk and retro elements harmoniously coexist.
Dry Drowning will be heading to Nintendo Switch on 22nd February 2021. The title is currently available on PC via Steam, GOG, Utomik and itch.io.

Comic Book Review - The Best of 2000 AD Vol. 3

Rob reviews The Best of 2000 AD Vol.3… The ‘Ultimate Mix-Tape’ of 2000 AD’s greatest hits is back for its third volume. Packed with an array of specially curated strips,  The Best of 2000 AD series does its very best in introducing you to the world of Tharg, and his Thrillverse. Much like its predecessors, this volume offers up an enticing mixture of strips and feature that draw across all corners of the wider 2000 AD mythos. While we do get a couple of standard trips to Mega-City 1 with Judge Dredd, series Editor Owen Johnson shows us the anthologies more “Tales of the Unexplained” side as things get a little bizarre.  Personally, this third volume has been my favourite out of the series so far. Not only does it feature a Judge Dredd written by Michael Carroll, we also have the debut of Ian Edginton  and D’Israeli.
